Reviewing process

Reviewing process

Each person must submit no more than two contributions by 20 January, 2012.

Every contribution - single, symposium or poster - will be seen by the academic committee (usually by two experts). The symposia contributions will be evaluated together and a global assessment issued, though individual comments are possible. The evaluation of the contributions will be accessible via the ConfTool at the end of March 2012.

Criteria

The contributions will be evaluated according to the following criteria:

  • Quality of content
  • Relevance for theory and/or praxis
  • Originality and innovation
  • Fulfilment of the Call for Papers guidelines
  • Quality of representation (please observe the layout guidelines)

On the basis of these five criteria and with regard to the required submission aspects (see instruction sheet Submissions), we will make an overall recommendation.

To prevent rejection of your contribution, please ensure that the following questions can be answered positively:

  • Is the language used clear and understandable?
  • Is enough information provided regarding the research and the research field to allow an adequate evaluation of the contribution?
  • Is a clear research question presented?
  • Are the theoretical background, the research methodology and the findings clear?
  • Is the focus defined adequately?
