Single contributions in paper sessions

Single contributions may be made by one or several people. Twenty minutes are designated for the presentation, with 10 minutes for subsequent discussion. These contributions will be grouped into paper sessions according to their topics, and moderated by a chair.

Please describe your presentation topic in an abstract of 3000 to 5000 characters (850 words). In addition to details on the theoretical and research context of your work, precise information regarding the leading question, the methodology of your research and your results are expected. Please include, in addition to the abstract, a list of references and key words. The submission is electronic, see registration.

All submitted symposia will be sighted by the congress committee and subjected to a reviewing process by the academic committee. The conference management will put the contributions into thematically grouped paper sessions. You will receive the definite confirmation regarding your submission by the end of March 2012.

Symposia

Thematically grouped contributions will be presented in the symposia. A symposia lasts 90 minutes and usually contains three contributions made up of a combination of one or preferably several research projects. The symposia is lead by a chair, who can also be a contributor. The leader of the symposia decides if a moderated final discussion with a debater will take place.

A symposium contains the following elements:

Thematic Introduction (approx. 10 minutes)

Three single contributions, each 15 minutes with 3 minutes of questions and answers

Debater (approx. 15 minutes)

10 minutes for questions and answers in the plenum

Symposia contributions

As the symposia are submitted as a whole, we ask that you hand in a 3000-character introduction to your symposia (850 words). Furthermore, abstracts of approx. 2000 characters should be submitted for each single contribution. In addition to details on the theoretical and research context of your work, precise information regarding the leading question, the methodology of your research and your results are expected. Please include, in addition to the abstract, a list of references and key words. Also include a complete list of all contributing persons, and choose a chair and a debater. Electronic submission is required. All submitted symposia will be seen by the congress committee and subjected to a reviewing process by the academic committee. You will receive confirmation regarding your submission by the end of March 2012.
